Real life's calling you away from the simulator? and just exit from X-Plane.
X-Plane crashed? (Also read about )
You selected "Start Over" from the .
Either way, X-Plane is shut down or at least no longer connected to the active FSC flight. But on the FSCharter platform the flight you had started is still in progress with pax onboard.
Now you can
later try to continue the flight. about the options for continuations.
revert the flight on the FSCharter platform: Go to the of the aircraft in question and click the red [Revert] button in the top right corner.
[Revert] will return the aircraft to its departure airport and remove all pax from the aircraft. Currently, the job you agreed to do stays active, though, which may lead to late fees.
After being reverted, the FSC aircraft can be used again for a new flight.
So, you got too few fuel to reach the passengers' destination? Don't worry, just divert to any airport in reach, land there, and stop the aircraft at the filling station, parking brake and engines off (or click [Disembark]) like if ending the flight. In fact, that flight does end. But your passengers will stay on board as they have a different destination.
Normally, the FSC plugin tries to set the following parameters of your X-Plane aircraft to be synchronised with the FSC aircraft:
position: Not only the correct airport, but the exact location and heading
fuel: amount of fuel your bought on FSC minus fuel consumed
payload resulting from passengers (plus the pilot)
Also, some situations base on the situation of your X-Plane aircraft:
This works all great and automatically for many X-Plane aircraft models, including the built-in ones. But more complex 3rd party models might not interact perfectly with the FSC plugin or simply lack features required (e.g., many seaplanes don't have a parking brake).
If you think your X-Plane aircraft behaves strangely when interacting with FSCharter, then here are 4 options you can play with. Try them one after the other to figure out which one really cause issues. The more you switch off the more you need to handle yourself instead of being done automatically by the plugin.
They allow you per X-Plane aircraft model to define, how to handle each situation.
The plugin only reports "fuel consumed per flight" back to the FSCharter platform. No matter how your total fuel amount in the simulator is handled, FSCharter tracks your consumption. But for persistent reality the total fuel amount in your X-Plane aircraft should match what you bought minus what you consumed.
The plugin will try to set your aircraft's total fuel amount to the value known on FSCharter
when you select the aircraft,
when you board,
when you click [Sync Fuel].
The plugin also verifies if setting fuel worked or not, so it has a built-in safety mechanism, and warns you if it was not successful as correct fuel amount is crucial for your flight:
In both cases (plugin failed to set, or is configured not to set), you need to load fuel into your aircraft yourself by the way defined by your aircraft. Try to match the amount as known by FSCharter for realism.
Again, the plugin will inform you when the total fuel amount does not match:
You can still stop and correct parameters.
The plugin tries to set the correct payload
when selecting an aircraft, so that pax still on board are considered,
when boarding.
Try matching the correct payload in your aircraft in the way defined by your model. If it doesn't match you will receive another warning upon leaving the parking position:
You can still stop and correct parameters.
Boarding is regularly done with engines on, e.g. in remote bush areas
Aircraft has no parking brake, like in seaplanes
If this setting is on, then the follow is allowed with engines on, no matter of parking brakes. The requirement is reduced to on the ground with zero speed:
[Selecting Aircraft]
[Place Here]
[Change Aircraft]
[Board / Refuel]
[Sync Fuel]
The plugin will offer you to start another flight in the same plane, which is exactly what we want. But before that, you buy some fuel on FSCharter, and then only you click the [Board / Refuel] button: The fuel is loaded into your plane (or you do that manually ), the passengers never left, and off you go to your intended destination: With take off a new flight is started on FSCharter, which will - hopefully - bring your passengers where they wanted to go.
parked on ground with brakes set and engines off is required for , , fuelling, and at the end of the flight for the passengers.
For each of the four areas outlined above, position, fuel, payload, and handling on ground, there is are settings available in the :
FSCharter keeps track of your exact location and knows where you left your aircraft after your last flight. You see this position also in the . This is where you should start your next flight in a persistent world.
When you , the plugin will always make sure that your simulator is at the correct airport. If you aren't currently, then you'll be transported to the "default location" of that airport (which is defined by the airport designer).
In addition to that, the FSC plugin can set your exact location on that airport as well as your heading. If that causes trouble with your aircraft model, then switch off Set exact location in the . Your plane will be left where it is if you are already at the right airport, or will only be placed on the airport's default location.
"Cannot set your aircraft's fuel level! Set fuel yourself to <fuel amount on FSC in the >."
If you think that the plugin's setting the fuel amount causes trouble with your X-Plane aircraft model, then switch off Set total fuel amount in the . The plugin reminds you to set fuel yourself:
If you think this causes trouble with your 3rd party X-Plane aircraft model, then you can switch of Set payload in the . The plugin informs you that you should take care of payload yourself:
This comes in handy for the following situations:
The plugin fails to detect "brake set" and/or "engines off" for a specific X-Plane aircraft model. (In this case we'd like to learn about the by way of a ...maybe we can do something about it.)
[Disembark] button becomes available after landing to manually make passengers disembark. This same functionality is also available as a , which can also be or .
