What is the FSCharter plugin for X-Plane?

The FSCharter plugin connects your X-Plane simulator to the FSCharter platform. Select matching aircraft in X-Plane and on the FSCharter platform, board passengers, perform flights, and log your achievements on the FSCharter platform.

Features

  • Connects to the FSCharter platform

    • Also supports connecting to the beta environment for beta testers

  • Select Aircraft

    • Shows a list of you FSC aircraft you have access to, so you can select one

    • Verifies that your X-Plane aircraft type matches the FSCharter aircraft type

    • Positions your simulator aircraft at the exact location as recorded for your FSC aircraft and fills fuel as per FSCharter records

    • Resume an interrupted flight

  • Boarding:

    • Board your passengers as per your agreed job on the current airport

    • Sets the payload of your X-Plane aircraft accordingly

  • Flight Tracking:

    • Identifies the start of flight at lift-off

    • Periodically sends position information ("sitrep") to FSCharter.

    • The plugin's Status window has a direct link to FSCharter's "Flight Overview" page, where you can follow your flight live.

    • Identifies the end of flight after touch-down and decelerating below 40kn.

    • Continues to follow your plane through taxi until parking and periodically updates the last known position at FSCharter.

    • Disembarks your passengers when parked.

    • Buffers position updates while network is unavailable - so you can still complete your flight on FSCharter if you reestablish a network connection before exiting X-Plane.

    • Should work starting with 11.20

    • Tested with macOS 10.15 Cataline and 10.14 Mojave

    • Should work starting with macOS 10.12 Sierra

  • Linux

    • untested

    • Should work with Ubuntu 18.x-based distros

    • Requires: curl, zlib, opengl
